The Oddero Family

OUR STORY

BOOK DIRECT | Best price guaranteed always | Find out more

Several historical sources show that the Oddero family has lived in this area since the seventeenth century and that they started producing wines in the eighteenth century. The current winery, however, is the result of Giacomo Oddero’s vision, who, starting from the 1950s, committed himself not only to modernize it but also to make the extraordinary territory where it is located known all over the world. Today it is his daughter Mariacristina who carries on the business, assisted by her grandchildren Isabella and Pietro, the seventh generation of Oddero winemakers.

An Invaluable Help

NONNA CARLA

A lively woman, lover of life, of music and mathematics, of cooking and singing, of elegance, passionate pharmacist. Also thanks to her and her dedicated work the most historic and important vineyards that today we are fortunate to be able to cultivate have become our property. She will welcome you to this place, named after her, to invite you to enjoy life as she did, in the spirit of things, even apparently small.

Past, Present and Future

OUR LAND, OUR ROOTS

Our family owns 35 hectares that span from Grinzane Cavour to Monforte d’Alba, Barolo and La Morra as well as S. Vittoria d’Alba. 16.5 of these hectares are cultivated with Nebbiolo da Barolo and Barbaresco, while 6 hectares are dedicated to the delicious hazelnut Piemonte IGP delle Langhe. These rolling hills that are our home are also a UNESCO World Heritage and protecting them has always been important to us; for this reason today all our vineyards are managed in an organic and sustainable way. To tell all the details of how our history is tied to Le Langhe, we set up a guided tour in our winery in La Morra.
